Requirements For Obtaining a Residential Building Permit
Submit:
- A completed Building Permit Application (available at City Hall or by clicking here to complete online click here).
- Two sets of Engineered Plans: one hard and one PDF copy (Wet Stamp required)
- One set of Structural Calculations (Wet Stamp required)
- One Site Plan

Energy Code Compliance: ResCheck 4.0.1 or later version, Table 402.1.1 --I.E.C.C. 2006 edition) www.rescheck.com
- One Gas Pipeline Location Diagram, including BTU demand of all appliances
- Compliance to City Design Standard if applicable (after August 12, 2003)
- A completed New Construction Residential Plan Submittal Form (to view and print this form, click here)
- Title IX
- Title X
Call (801) 614-9670, Monday-Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., excluding holidays, to schedule building inspections. A minimum 24-hour notice is required for each inspection.
